Introduction and Course Overview
In this course, we will focus on strengthening your capacity to be a "Champion for Change" - a change agent who specifically influences your organization to develop and sustain a culture that values diversity, strengthens equity, promotes inclusion, and ensures accessibility.
We'll use a very simple model that will help you examine, assess and ultimately change the culture of an organization:
- Collaboration - focus on the WORK: What are the written and unwritten guidelines, the do’s and don'ts of how we accomplish tasks and execute on our Mission?
- Connection - focus on the PEOPLE: How do we relate to one another and value one another’s unique strengths, personalities and perspectives?
- Communication - which ties it all together: How do members of the organization communicate to one another, not only formally, but also informally?
